Early Intervention

The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) is the state office that oversees Early Intervention services. The Early Intervention program provides support and services to families with children birth to age 5 with developmental delays. County programs administer the program for children birth to age 3 while local schools assist with children ages 3 to 5.

For more information on Early Intervention services locally or to address questions about a child’s development, contact the CONNECT Helpline at 1-800-692-7288 or contact your local MH/MR office.
